A huge ‘thank yu’ to everyone who contributed to making £eith Chooses Voting event such a great day, on Saturday. Organisers, project applicants and teams, volunteers, and of course, voters! It all came together in a lovely, buzzy community day when we could find out about all the fantastic charities and groups that work in Leith, for the benefit of our local community.
So the voted are all cast, and are now being counted. The results will be announced on Tuesday 18th February (after half-term, to make sure nobody misses it!).
Saturday 1st February is the Voting Day for £eith Chooses. Please come along and support the community projects that you feel will best help to fight hunger and/or loneliness in Leith.

The deadline date is 6th January 2020. (Forms that are emailed in or posted between now and then may not be acknowledged immediately because of the holiday period, but their date will be noted.) You will be contacted asap after 6th January.

Do you have a project idea? Project costs need to be no more than £5,000 (unless you can prove you have the additional funding in place to cover higher costs). But you should just apply for what you need. Application forms here

Your application can address either Hunger or Loneliness, or both.

Applications are invited as soon as possible, ideally before Christmas, and must be in by 6th January 2020 at the very latest. Please think about coming along to a Support session before submitting your application, to make sure your idea / application is on the right track.

Here’s a heads up of key dates for £eith Chooses 2019/ 2020 to get into your diary.
There is £44, 000 for community projects, up to £5,000 per project. Start thinking and planning now! Come to a support session for discussion and advice, if needed.
Sadly, there is just not enough money available through City of Edinburgh Community Grants Fund to support all the great projects that were put forward to £eith Chooses. There’s always next year…..
